Quality content is more important than ever! That's why we teach SCRIBERS[HUB] also top-notch copywriters, authors and journalists for this.
In the "Content Buzzer" interview series, Sabine Fäth, founder of Scribers [Hub], communication professionals ask these questions every 14 days:
Birgit Brieber, journalist & content consultant
What does content mean for you?
For me, content means offering a community the content they truly want to consume, not the content you think they want to read or consume. That's a huge difference, and it often takes years to understand. It requires self-reflection, honesty, courage, discipline, less ego, and perseverance. My work combines the topics of beauty, health, female empowerment, and lifestyle. I don't want to just scratch the surface; I want to inform, break taboos, and educate. For example, I wrote about menstruation when it was still a major taboo in public discourse, much like menopause is now. All women's issues eventually become taboo, or they're treated as superficial or irrelevant—this happens a lot with beauty content. But the great thing about the way we can create content today is that we have control over what we discuss and, ideally, find a community to connect with. For me, content also means the huge opportunity to be heard, to connect with people and to help them progress with my work.
What was the worst content you met?
Paid content, like product promotions such as laundry detergent, was common in the early days of influencer culture. That wouldn't happen to professional content creators today. On the other hand, you have to remember: everything you start might be bad at first. But that's why you should start anyway. Because that's the only way to grow.
How does good content succeed in times of chatt and Co.?
People follow people, not accounts or robots. At the end of the day, there always needs to be a human touch. Good content in the age of ChatGPT is therefore just as successful or unsuccessful as before. We should use ChatGPT to our advantage. That doesn't mean letting AI do 100% of the work for us.
Complete the sentence: Content is always...
…available and, ideally, well thought out.
