Survey results: How is the SCRIBERS[HUB] community doing in the Corona year?

After living with the Corona pandemic for over half a year, we wanted to know how the SCRIBERS[HUB] community is doing and commissioned another survey.
We are very pleased that the order situation for the respondents is increasingly stabilizing. Compared to our survey from April 2020, the job situation is now stable for two-thirds. Those whose situation improved in the second half of the year after a period of upheaval in the first half cited the following as their top three reasons: significantly more acquisition efforts, increased networking, and/or a shift in their focus.

Acquisition remains a key focus for many in 2021. Respondents indicated that their Top 5 projects in 2021 are (multiple selections were possible):

45% are considering new acquisition strategies, 40% are focusing on increased networking, 35% are investing in further training, 27% want to increase their visibility and are investing in their website and social media, and 33% are using the newly available time to consider what they really want to do in the future. Especially in this exceptional situation, networking and exchanging ideas are extremely important. Mutual inspiration and learning from one another helps individuals and also moves us forward as a community. At the same time, investing in one's own visibility and further training is worthwhile. New acquisition strategies are the main reason why the situation has stabilized for many of the respondents Top projects for 2021According to the results of the latest survey, it's therefore crucial to develop customer acquisition strategies that are up-to-date and, in addition to demonstrating professional expertise, highlight why relying on flexible freelancers is particularly worthwhile during the COVID-19 pandemic. Freelancers are accustomed to working remotely, and companies using home offices now have the opportunity to bring genuine experts onto their teams on a freelance basis, regardless of their location. 27% of respondents believe that freelancers will emerge as winners from the crisis, as they offer companies greater flexibility than permanent employees. It's essential to ensure that this flexibility is appropriately compensated.
