Good content is more important than ever! That is why Scriber's [Hub] also conveys first -class copywriters, authors and journalists for quality content. In the "Content Buzzer" interview series, Sabine Fäth, founder of Scriber's [Hub] Communication professionals, asks these questions every 14 days:
Svea Raßmus, Head of Online Editorial Department, DB Vertrieb GmbH
What does content mean for you?
Content, for me, is multifaceted. It makes things visible, points the way, conveys knowledge, and builds trust, understanding, and values. It requires a spoken, written, or visual language that can not only include but also exclude, and which must be used thoughtfully. The technologies that physically transmit content are just as important as the constantly changing user behavior, and both deserve close attention. Creating professional content requires sound tools and a level playing field. The attitude with which I create content is reflected in what is said, written, and/or spoken.
What was the worst content you met?
Sometimes, content that's unsuitable for me as a customer is hidden in operating or assembly instructions. Now, I could cheekily say, "...the product is supposed to be intuitive to use...", but that's obviously not always the case. However, when I need support, I want it in the form of words, images, or audio that empowers me to do something. It helps me when it's designed from the customer's perspective, not the producer's.
