Quality content is more important than ever! That's why we teach SCRIBERS[HUB] also top-notch copywriters, authors and journalists for this.
In the "Content Buzzer" interview series, Sabine Fäth, founder of Scribers [Hub], communication professionals ask these questions every 14 days:

Dr. Carolin Mehnert, author & Diversity/Equity/Inclusion Lead at DATEV

What does content mean for you?

Authentically sharing one's own experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Honest reflection and not shying away from one's own mistakes. I share what moves me, what inspires me, what I consider important, and what I find enriching. It's increasingly about quality, because the sheer volume of content is already there. It's also about creating platforms for those who don't have access to them as easily as I do, as a privileged person. It's about stimulating dialogue and even occasionally disrupting the status quo.

What was the worst content you met?

I don't know if I can actually judge content as "good" or "bad" per se, because what I'm judging is whether the content meets my expectations, enriches me, fits into my worldview, stimulates me or bores me, etc.
I constantly encounter content that I dislike because it's too commercialized, because it doesn't reflect on privilege, or because it uses discriminatory or racist language (both conscious and unconscious). For me, the suitability of content depends on the depth of reflection and the potential for knowledge transfer. For example, I can't stand collective identities, absolute statements, or self-exculpation. (Pictures of this would be phrases like: "Women are just like that," "Muslims"—even using only the masculine form—"can't help it"... or sentences like, "I have no prejudices," "I'm definitely not racist, I have a Black neighbor who...").

How does good content succeed in times of chatt and Co.?

By reflecting authentically and honestly, and by genuinely aiming to generate added value through my content. I can do this with or without tools and aids.
I write all my texts myself, for example, because I enjoy writing, I prefer to express myself through words, and I find joy in writing. My texts usually arise spontaneously and represent me as a person and what I want to change in the (working) world. For me, this change involves a targeted connection between science and business in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as open, reflective, and collaborative learning. Our capacity for change is the key to our future viability, and we can only achieve this if we truly embrace the potential of equal participation. I write to support this.

Complete the sentence: Content is always...

…something that I put out into the world, I should be responsible with what I say, write, express in pictures and post.
