The input of freelancers is like the salt in the soup. But what makes a good free? In the "Texteflüster" interview series, Sabine Fäth, founder of Scribers [Hub], caught up with everyone who appreciates working with freelancers. This time with Anja Blau, Head of Communication and Marketing, We for Health GmbH - The network for quality medicine
1. In which situation do you book a free copywriter/journalist/author and why?
If I need journalistic specific texts, with tangible facts from different independent sources, I book journalists. I prefer to rely on this professionalism than on my "will already fit like this". Otherwise I also like to work with copywriters when I have thought and wrote through a topic a thousand times myself and have the impression that "I no longer see the forest because of the trees". In addition, a new look at a topic helps extremely against blindness.
2. What was your best experience with a free copywriter/journalist/author and why? I am always very happy when I am pleasantly surprised. This happens, for example, when my thoughts on the text are understood in a way and so developed that new perspectives arise - for me and the readers.
3. The advice that I would definitely give free copywriters/journalists/authors is ... Listen carefully, asks critically, always asks when what is unclear.
4. My most important principle in dealing with free is ... Wish letters and changes until the result is right. Otherwise there is a stupid feeling and the work will not go on. And always be friendly.
5. What do you wish for in collaboration with free from these for smooth cooperation? Consider appointments; Register deviations (from the schedule or the content) in good time; ask if what is unclear; Cancellation if something is not affordable. And "hello" and "bye" in email traffic.
