Sabine Fäth: Founder of SCRIBERS[HUB]
"It is never too late to be the person you wish you had been." (George Eliot)
When I was 48 and had the idea to become self-employed and start a platform connecting freelance content professionals with clients, many people looked at me in astonishment. Aren't you too old for that? Why are you giving up your job as editor-in-chief? Are you ill?
The headwind was rough, yet I felt deep down that if you set the right sails, you'll steer into the right harbor…
And now we celebrate on October 5, 2021 5 years SCRIBERS[HUB] with over 2500 freelancers in our curated network.
The pandemic has further intensified the search for external knowledge workers, fueled the trend towards remote work and flexible working models, and high-quality content for specific target groups is more important than ever.
That makes us all the more pleased when we, as matchmakers, can establish a win-win relationship (within hours).
"Ultimately, it is our connections with people that give life its value" (Wilhelm von Humboldt)
It's great that we can contribute.
By the way: one of the hesitant ones from back then recently said to me: "Well, then you did everything right." Yes and no! Entrepreneurship includes mistakes (as painful as they can be, they are essential), lifelong learning, being and remaining curious, constantly questioning the status quo, courageously implementing new things... that's a challenge every day!
I'm happy with what we've achieved today and excited for everything that's still to come. Stay tuned!
